Our Journey:

Jaap's Testing Station was born from the vision of JC Wessels, affectionately known as "Oom Jaap," who was instrumental in developing vehicle testing standards at SABS. In 1995, he, along with his wife Louise Wessels and son Kallie Wessels, embarked on this journey in Rustenburg, North West. Converting premises bought from Magalies plumbers into a testing station, they tested their first vehicle, a blue Nissan Caball truck, on June 6, 1995.

Since then, we've steadily expanded. In 2000, Louiz Kitchener, Oom Jaap's daughter, joined the team. As the business grew, so did the family, with additional members like daughters-in-law and grandsons joining in. Together, we're dedicated to enhancing our services for our valued customers.

DataDot Technology: Protect your vehicle from theft and counterfeiting with DataDot Technology. Our identification, protection, and authentication solutions offer peace of mind and added security for your vehicle and its parts.

From humble beginnings with one testing pit, one Management Rep, one examiner, one clerk, and one pit assistant, we've evolved, thanks to the support of our loyal customers.
