    Flag Animal Farm, nestled near Sheffield Beach on KZN’s North Coast, is much more than a day out—it’s a hands‑on animal kingdom where over 1 000 rescued creatures are lovingly cared for. From bunnies and goats to reptiles and ponies, every animal has a story—and visitors can get up close, feed them, and create unforgettable memories.

    A Sanctuary Born of Passion
    What began as a rundown holding came to life over 20 years ago under the dedication of founder Genevieve Chisholm. Today, Flag Animal Farm stands as KwaZulu‑Natal’s largest rescue animal farm, having rehomed more than 14 000 animals and rescued thousands more. It's a true labour of love and compassion. 

    Play, Learn, Explore
    It’s not just about animals. The farm bursts with family-friendly attractions: indoor and outdoor play zones, pirate ships, dinosaur- and unicorn-themed areas, tractor and pony rides, splash waterpark, and a coffee shop for grown-ups. Daily shows such as milking and reptile encounters combine education with entertainment.

    Pony, horse and tractor rides, and feed packs make the visit exciting.  The vibe is warm and welcoming, with spaces tailor-made for parties, school outings, or a chilled picnic. It truly is a day you and your children will cherish.
